Why We Started Trout Software
Trout Software was started from a simple observation: the systems that run the physical world—factories, utilities, transport, defense infrastructure—were being asked to meet modern security expectations without tools designed for their reality.
Most cybersecurity innovation focused on cloud and IT environments. Meanwhile, on-premise networks remained complex, fragile, and dependent on implicit trust models that no longer matched the threat landscape. We saw operators forced to choose between protection and continuity, between visibility and operational risk. That tradeoff was unacceptable.
We founded Trout Software to remove that compromise.
